My senior year starts Monday, June 17th. My hope is to have at least one blog entry about each rotation that I go through. This will serve as a way to help me remember in the future what senior year was like and also to allow my family/friends to get a glimpse of what vet school is like and what I'm going through.. My senior year will consist of a variety of hands on clinical experiences or rotations. Each will be graded in different ways and will hopefully help me bridge the gap between the book learning I've done for the past 3 years and being a doctor in the real world.
Senior orientation was earlier this week and it was a lot of information thrown at us all at once. I hope I am able to remember the important things. It was also the last time our whole class will be together until graduation. (A weird thought, since we've been together for 3 school years!). I am nervous and excited about starting my first rotation on Monday and starting to apply the things I have learned. I am hopeful that my senior year will be a good experience overall. The pictures below show what my main wardrobe for this year will consist of.
Green Coveralls for working with large animals like horses and cows. |
White lab coat for working with small animals like dogs and cats. |
